This after school program is designed for active kids, 6 to 9 years old, whose parents want them to explore the outdoors. This is an outdoor program delivered from the Kerry Wood Nature Centre and throughout Waskasoo Park. Kids will learn valuable outdoor skills including fire-building and tending, foraging, shelter-building, animal tracking, snowshoeing and other winter travel, basic first-aid, staying safe when lost in the woods, and other critical outdoor skills.
Program Term: September - DecemberMeeting Days: MondaysMeeting Time: 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.Meeting Place: First session at the Nature Centre. Locations may vary throughout the term
