Competitive program - Skiers ski multiple days a week. Training is offered on the weekends and ½ day on Wednesday and Friday. A few additional days (school holidays) will be added if there is a desire. Athletes will be counseled by US Ski and Snowboard certified coaches in physical conditioning, nutrition, and sports psychology to allow optimal athletic performance. Skiers are coached in SL, GS, and SG disciplines, following the US Ski and Snowboard Alpine Training system matrix. Training will be in and out of the race course, utilizing exercises and drills to develop high-level skiing and racing in a fun team atmosphere. Coaches will video record training and free ski runs so the athlete can critique their skiing alongside a coach. Brower timing systems are also used on some training days to give live timed feedback to the racer. Proper ski and protective equipment are required, as is a competitor’s US ski and Snowboard license. The program begins December 2 and ends April 13 for ages 12 to 18. The cost is $1590 for the season, including pre-season dryland conditioning and a week-long camp between Christmas and New Year’s.
