Description
Discover the joy of sketching and painting outdoors in this introductory en plein air workshop series with Mary Pat Ettinger. With just a few essential supplies, sketching and painting on location can be both exhilarating and rewarding—though it comes with its challenges!
In Plein Air 101: Part A, participants will learn about the basic materials needed and gain hands-on experience sketching outdoors. Some prior experience with landscape sketching is recommended for the best learning experience.
What to Bring:
- Sketchbook & pencils (Weehawken will provide pencils and loose paper on clipboards for anyone not wanting to bring their own supplies)
- Instructor-provided viewfinders available to borrow

Unless heavy rain is forecasted, the class will proceed as planned. Be prepared to walk up to a mile from the Cora classroom in Ridgway to the outdoor location.
Students are also encouraged to take Plein Air 101: Part B (June 7th), where Mary Pat Ettinger will guide participants through the process of plein air painting.
