Get ready to go Beyond the Gate and explore...Animal Health! With hundreds of species of animals from across the globe, making sure the residents of San Antonio Zoo stay healthy can be a huge job. It's a good thing we have a talented team of Animal Health staff ready to meet every individual's needs. During the program, we'll take a look at the preventative and curative medicine programs at San Antionio Zoo, discuss the One Heath model and how it applies to zoological organizations, and take a behind-the-scenes trip to the Animal Health Center to meet some of our veterinary staff. Plan to bring a reusable water bottle & wear close-toed shoes. Remember, San Antonio Zoo hosts programs rain or shine! Please bring weather appropriate gear like a rain jacket, coat or hat!
