AI FOR APPS Activity Organizer: Padma Duvvuri Email: padmadv@gmail.com Dates: Thursdays (Last meeting 12/12/24) Time: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Grades: 6–12 Description: Students will learn the basics of AI through entertaining and detailed AI Club videos, discussions, and weekly activities. They will build artificial intelligence solutions using a cloud interface that is used for developing AI models on AWS. Then, students use their knowledge to create apps integrated with AI. The club curriculum is brought by AI Club, and it includes an introduction to AI, classification, regression, algorithms such as K-Nearest Neighbor and linear regression, deep learning, neural networks, lectures on programming languages such as Python and Swift, and app projects including one final custom project. Students often find that this program sets them up for a future in AI. Past students of this program have won several awards, such as the US Congressional App Challenge.
