MACHINE LEARNING AND PROJECT APPLICATION Activity Organizer: Shruti Animesh Email: shruti_animesh@yahoo.com Dates: Mondays Time: 4:00 PM–5:00 PM Grades: 8–12 Cost: Description: The club will operate in two stages: an initial phase focused on ML fundamentals, and a project-based phase where students get to develop their own models. Through this approach, we aim to foster discussion and enthusiasm in the field of artificial intelligence while also supporting students as they learn to build ML projects. Covered (Bring Laptops): - Fundamentals of Python & Overview of Key Libraries: NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch - Introduction to Machine Learning (Supervised vs. Unsupervised learning, Training vs. Testing, Loss functions, Linear & Logistic Regression, Decision Trees) - Advanced Models (Support Vector Machines (SVM), Naive Bayes, and Random Forests) - Deep Learning & Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) - Final Projects (to be presented at research expo)
