MATH CIRCLE (MIDDLE SCHOOL) Assessment required prior to registration! Please email the club advisor for assessment information. Activity Organizer: Amanda Gao Email: menesgao@hotmail.com Dates: Wednesday or Thursday (Determined after assessment) Time: 4:00 PM–5:30 PM Grades: 6–10 Cost: Description: Dr. Ali Gurel is a very experienced and famous math coach at AlphaStar. Dr. Gurel will be teaching 2 in-person classes: one basic and one advanced level. The basic level will cover Algebra, Counting, and Geometry subjects. This level will be either MC20 (AMC8/MathCounts Basic) or MC25 (AMC8/MathCounts Advanced) level which will be decided on after getting feedback from the parents. The advanced level will use a 3-year cycle so students can join for 2 or 3 years without repeating the same material. Some topics may repeat with a different set of problems. Some sessions will be added for AMC 12 training.
