Singing with Judy Wyle is back this Fall for another round! Mondays Jan 13- Mar , 2024 in person at Caffe Lena 1pm - 2pm CURRICULUM This class is designed for singing together in a group setting. You will be given the basic elements of vocal technique to practice with the goal of improving your knowledge and skills of vocal production. Each participant will be given the opportunity to suggest a favorite song they would like to sing with others. Sometimes we will sing all together and sometimes in smaller groups. Most of all, we will come together in community spirit to share our love of music in a relaxed, totally non-judgmental environment that aims to foster self confidence in the joy of singing the songs we love. Judy Wyle has been a singer/songwriter/performer for most of her life. She has been performing at the Caffè Lena since 1997 when she released her first CD of original music, Fire In Your Heart; followed by her 2014 release, Girl in the Silver Leaves, Judy produced and performed two original musical plays at Lena's: To See Another Spring, in 2017; and Rosemary's Anahata and The Sound of the Rose, last November, 2022 to sold out houses. Judy has been teaching singing at Blue Sky Music Studio in Delmar, New York for the last decade where she instructs students from 5 to 86! She loves to connect with her students to inform and encourage their singing skills. She is thrilled to begin teaching group singing at the Caffè Lena School of Music! She holds a degree in theater from Skidmore College and studied acting with the renowned Stella Adler in New York City. Judy has also owned and operated her own yoga studio, Joy of Yoga, in Saratoga Springs for 34 years; and finds that yoga postures and breathing techniques interweave with singing in a perfect marriage!
