About This Activity
Instructor: David Lalomia, Sewickley Academy Ceramics Teacher Discover the art of clay crafting in this hands-on camp! Students will learn three foundational techniques: Pinch, Coil, and Slab construction. After practicing each method, they'll use their imaginations to design and sculpt unique, one-of-a-kind creations. Bright and vibrant underglazes will be available for students to add colorful finishes to completed pieces, while some items may be glazed later by Mr. Lalomia as they progress through the clay cycle. Expect to get messy, so wear clothes and shoes you don't mind dirtying. Remember to pack a light snack and a water bottle to stay refreshed during this creative journey!
