A moderately strenuous tour, the trail to the mine is about 1.5 miles, mostly uphill (one way), 3 miles round trip. The beginning is a steady climb (we stop lots to rest and learn along the way). The group may eventually make it to an old Uranium Mine, the furthest our groups go. Where do you meet: there will be a link in your confirmation email as there is no physical address for this location. What time and how long is the tour: Please arrive by 9:45 am to put on snowshoes and sign the waiver; the snowshoe starts at 10 am and ends at 1 pm. Transportation: You are responsible for your own transportation; please PLAN AHEAD- often, local accommodations have shuttles that do not operate this early or will not drop off at the location; check beforehand. You can use ride apps on your phone or GO alpine taxi in town. The local free bus system does NOT have a stop in this area unless you book the Yellow Line; to do so, go to the city bus website. There is a $5 day use fee for the Fish Creek Falls Parking Lots. Cost & Refunds- $30 Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on the Wednesday before the program.
