About this event
Designed for students ages 5-11, this introductory class will enable first-time sailors to get a “taste” of sailing on Stonington Harbor. Students will work together throughout the fall to become familiar with Optimist or Hartley training boats while practicing dock and water safety. During this time, students will learn boat parts, rigging, and steering. One step at a time, students will learn the basics in a nurturing environment with friendly and patient instructors. LEVEL: Beginner
