Activity Organizer: Whizara Email: mary@learn2code.live Dates: Mondays Grades: 4-5 Cost: $450 Description: This course on graphic design using Pixlr introduces learners to a wide range of digital design techniques,from basic concepts like layout and shape tools to advanced skills involving selection tools and filters. Through hands-on projects, learners will explore the Pixlr Express and Pixlr Editor interfaces, creating a variety of designs that include everything from simple shapes and text edits to complex image manipulations for posters and postcards. The course covers different aspects of graphic design such as layer management, drawing tools, selection tools, and the application of advanced selection and filter options. ● Hardware Prerequisites: Windows Laptop/Mac/Chromebook/iPad ● Software Prerequisites: Web Browser (Chrome/Firefox/Safari), Pixlr Express, Pixlr Editor. Pixlr can be found here, and it can be used on any device as it is a web application ● Coding Prerequisites: None Required Materials: Students are required to bring their own tablet, Chromebook or any laptop with internet connectivity.
