Activity Organizer: Castle Chess Email: josh@castle-chess.com Dates: Wednesdays Grades: K-1 Cost: $600 Description: In this dynamic and engaging math club, students will explore the fascinating world of mathematical puzzles and games, utilizing innovative strategies to enhance their problem-solving abilities, inspire enthusiasm for math, and foster collaboration and creative thinking. Each week will begin with a captivating math riddle or brainteaser, followed by an immersive dive into a variety of math games designed to unravel advanced concepts such as recursion, graph theory, algorithms, number theory, and combinatorics. Through hands-on activities and friendly challenges, students will develop critical thinking, logical reasoning, and pattern recognition skills essential for tackling complex mathematical challenges. We do games such as Towers of Hanoi, Apple Picking, Ladybugs, Domino Dissection, etc. By the end of each class, every student will have gained a deeper conceptual understanding of intricate mathematical principles and a newfound confidence in their ability to approach abstract problems with creativity and perseverance. Through these engaging games, each student will discover new ways of thinking and problem solving that will benefit them in their academic pursuits.
