About this event
Take inspiration from legendary culinary master Julia Child, the queen of French cooking, in this four-week series. We'll watch some vintage episodes of PBS’s “The French Chef” and use some of Jula's best-known recipes to learn useful culinary techniques and experience the "Joy of Cooking!" (This year’s series of classes are different from those offered in 2023, so repeat students are encouraged.) Class 1, Oct. 28: Episode 41 - French Puff Pastry – Feuilletee au Roquefort with a green salad Class 2, Nov. 4: Episode 52 - Flaming Souffléa L’Orange, Flambé with Crème Anglaise Class 3, Nov. 11: Episode 75 - Ham Dinner for Four, including Tomatoes Farcies a la Portugaise; Tranches de Jambon a la Crème, Puree of Peas and Watercress, Braised Leeks, Cherries Jubilee Class 4, Nov. 18: Episode 117 - Quenelle de Poisson with Sauce Mornay and dressed greens
