Unleash your creativity and explore the art of ceramics in this hands-on, immersive summer camp! Students will dive into the world of clay, mastering a variety of exciting techniques experimenting with hand-building methods. Each day brings a new adventure, allowing campers to discover and perfect different ways of working with clay. Camp Highlights: -Hand-Building Techniques: Learn how to shape, mold, and craft beautiful pottery using hand-building methods such as coil work and slab construction. -Sculpture & Design: Explore the art of sculpting and design, creating unique pieces that reflect your personal style and imagination. -Earthenware & Glazing: Work with professional-grade earthenware clay and vibrant glazes to finish your pieces with stunning, long-lasting color and texture. -Creative Exploration: Every day brings a new opportunity to experiment, with different projects that push your artistic boundaries and skills. By the end of the week, students will have created their own masterpieces, ready to display at home! *Important Note: Students will need to arrange for pick-up of their completed pieces the following week, as all artwork requires time to dry, fire, and glaze. This camp is perfect for young artists who want to get their hands dirty, have fun, and take home some beautiful clay creations!
