About this event
All classes run from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with a short break at halfway point at the instructor’s discretion. You are welcome to arrive from 1:30 pm onwards. Discover the exciting world of biomedical engineering. Explore how engineers and biologists work together to create artificial tissues and develop innovative ways to deliver medicines to very specific parts of the body! Students will learn the basics of cell biology and biomaterials, exploring how cells interact with different materials and how this knowledge is used to engineer tissues like skin, bone, and some regenerative organs. Through fun and interactive projects, students will design simple tissue models and drug delivery systems that can release medication in a controlled way.
