About This Activity

Get inspired to build creatively and think critically... grab your hardhats and let’s get problem solving! What better opportunity to see what it's like to be an engineer than through a week of creativity-filled, hands-on, and innovative project making? Discover the world of structures, science, building, and more through play and first-hand experiments. This camp is perfect for the future builders and makers of our world! Join this camp if you are looking for a space to explore your hands-on problem solving and creative thinking skills! This program is intended for participants entering Grades 4 and 5 in September 2025. NOTE: The same themes at the same grade level will contain the same content across all weeks. For example, Maker 2/3 (Week 1) will contain the same material as Maker 2/3 (Week 7). Girls* thrive when they have a focused space to discover, explore, and cultivate their love for science and engineering. Geering Up’s annual All Girls* Week encourages girls* and inspires the next generation of women* scientists. All Girls* camps offer the same STEM activities as their co-ed counterparts. *We use the words “girls” and “women” with an asterisk (*) to intentionally include students and stakeholders who are underrepresented in STEM fields. Cis girls/women and trans, genderqueer, or non-binary people are welcome at our All Girls* programming. For more information, visit our All Girls* page on our website.
