About this event
We're taking it back to the classics for our Fall Engineering Design Competition! Students in grades 6-9 will participate in a hands-on engineering design challenge focused on bridge construction. Guided by mentors, participants will design their bridges and simulate them on a digital simulation software. The event includes testing the bridges for stressors in the simulation, allowing students to apply their research and problem-solving skills. This challenge emphasizes practical application of STEM principles, collaboration, and critical thinking as teams work through the entire design process from concept to virtual testing. The challenge will be scaled with further context, location and environmental considerations which will be revealed on the day of! ***All events have a $10.00 fee.
