Description
Introduction to Audio Recording is a 12-week course that covers all the basics for creating professional quality audio for anything ranging from music to video to podcasting and more. This course is especially useful for creators interested in working in media that requires recording and creating high quality audio files. Students learn in a practical and real-life recording environment, like that of professional recording engineers and sound directors. The hands-on experience this course offers students includes recording instrumentalists, vocalists, voiceovers, and interviews in a variety of spaces and situations, such as in a recording studio, a concert hall, and in the field. Students rotate weekly through the various tasks involved with each recording project, ensuring newly acquired knowledge can be put directly into practice along each step of the recording process.Students who complete this course will have a thorough knowledge of the basics for recording professional audio, from coiling cables to recording sessions, to post-production and mastering.
