Description
This exciting new violin ensemble is designed for young violinists ages 8-12 years who love to practice every day. Music director Tatiana Kostour is looking for students who are enthusiastic about developing better violin technique, including sound production, dynamics, shifting, vibrato, and other fundamentals, with the goal of making great music together. Students will learn to play in a chamber ensemble without a conductor, working on coordination of bowing, bow distribution, intonation, peripheral vision, voice blending, and balancing. The goal of the ensemble is to show that after careful preparing your own part, making music come alive together is incredible satisfying, and can create lifelong friendships. The Violino D'Oro will welcome talented and hardworking young violinists through an audition for the music director.
Age range: 8-12 years old, minimum Level 3 RCM (or equivalent) to Level 6 RCM or equivalent).
Interested students should contact Tatiana Kostour to arrange an audition by calling our front desk at 250-386-5311.
