Assemblage/Treasure Boxesw/Barbara MayfieldA six (6) session courseNo Class on 5/26Gather up all those “good boxes” and your collections of ephemera and turn perceived trash into treasure. We’ll be creating 3-dimensional assemblage with boxes (found, made, and/or altered, of any size and material) and the glory of ephemera (the polite term for interesting stuff often considered “trash”—-found paper, old maps, dollhouse furniture, jewelry bits and bobs, scraps of fabric, postage stamps, tangled thread, love letters, shopping lists, plastic animals, dictionary pages, junk drawer stuff and nonsense). Bring those good boxes and your gathered ephemera for six Monday afternoons, and we will make. A full list of suggested materials and adhesives will be sent to class participants.
