Painting – Discovering Your Artistic Voicewith Heidi TechnerA five (5) session courseNo class on 11/28Uncovering the connection between your identity and your artwork can be both liberating and inspiring. In this class, we will explore methods designed to help you discover and develop your unique aesthetic and artistic voice. Our focus will be on paint handling, color selection, and composition. You will learn to manage your palette, make intentional color choices, and understand their impact on your work. Play will be encouraged!Music will serve as our muse, providing inspiration as you select your subject matter with guided support. This journey encourages mindfulness and self-discovery, and connects us more deeply with the world around us and ourselves.All skill levels are welcome and valued in this class.
Materials:1. Variety of Brushes and sizes: Round, Flat, Filbert, Fan, Angled, Large Paddle Brush2. Acrylic or Oil (traditional or water-soluble) paint colors include: Titanium White, Ivory Black, Cadmium Yellow Pale, Indian Yellow, Orange, Cadmium Red Light, Sky Blue, French Ultramarine, Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Olive Green, Bright Green, and any other colors you prefer.3. Variety of Canvas sizes (one from each size): Small: 11” x 14” or 12” x 12” Medium: 20” x 20” or 16” x 20” or 24” x 24” Large: 30” x 40” or 36” x 36” or 30” x 30”4. Palette or Palette Paper5. Container for Brushes6. Rags7. Palette Knife*If using traditional Oil Paints, Turpenoid for cleaning brushes
