Lifesaving Society - People with Disabilities lessons are available for individuals with developmental, cognitive and/or physical disabilities. These classes focus on developing sound water safety skills. They are designed to follow the Red Cross Swim program and provide an opportunity for supervised water activities. These classes are for people with disabilities only. When the participant and their caregiver meet the instructor on the first day of the program, the instructor will take appropriate steps to ensure instruction is tailored to the participant's needs.

- All family members complete a self-assessment prior to arrival; should any family member feel unwell, no members of the family attend the facility
- All lesson participants (and parents/guardians) arrive lesson-ready (in swimsuits); change room/bathroom/shower access will be limited
- Pool deck viewing space will be reduced. For the above-mentioned levels, a maximum of one parent/caregiver per household is asked to be present on the pool deck should they not accompany their child in the water. In this situation, please be advised that on-deck seating will be limited (please expect to stand for the duration of your child’s lesson).
- The participant is to bring all equipment to disinfectant zone for Hyper chlorination at the end of the lesson.
