The Seven Oaks Pool Birthday Party Package includes exclusive use of the Birthday Party room, public swim admission for 30 guests (including supervising adults) who will have access to the splash pad, kiddie pool, main pool and sauna (pool space shared with public). The Birthday Party Package can be booked in two-hour time slots, you will only have access to the room and pool during your booked time (this includes decorating and clean up).
The Birthday Party room provides direct access to the splash pad. The room includes the use of the TV, tables, chairs, fridge and sink. The user group is responsible to provide all party supplies needed for their event (Outside food is permitted).
The user group is responsible to return the room in the same condition that they receive the room in (Minor cleaning supplies provided).
Maximum room occupancy is 30 people.
Prior to arrival:
Identify participants who do not meet the height requirement and cannot swim and be prepared to adhere to these rules:
• Participants must be accompanied in the water by an adult at a ratio of 1 adult to 4 children• Adult must be within arm's reach of the children• Participants must wear a lifejacket/PFD (personal flotation device)
Participants are restricted to the shallow end Identify participants who do not meet the height requirement and can swim and be prepared to adhere to these rules:• Participants must be accompanied in the water by an adult at a ratio of 1 adult to 4 children• Upon demonstration of swimming ability, participants may enter the pool without a lifejacket/PFD (personal flotation device)
A general rule of thumb is completion of Level 5 of the Red Cross Swim Kids Program or Swimmer 4 of the Lifesaving Society Swim for Life Program Identify participants who meet the height requirement and cannot swim and be prepared to adhere to these rules:• Participants are restricted to the shallow end• A lifejacket/PFD (personal flotation device) is optional Upon arrival at the pool, contact the onsite supervisor• The onsite supervisor will review the pool rules• Identify to the onsite supervisor those participants who require a lifejacket/PFD (personal flotation device)• Identify to the onsite supervisor those participants who wish to access the deep water. The onsite supervisor will then have the swimmers perform a short swim evaluation to confirm their ability
The City of Winnipeg operates indoor and outdoor pools to provide safe and enjoyable aquatic experiences.
Site-specific age and height requirements are in place for admission to City of Winnipeg pools:
- SEVEN OAKS POOL 44 INCHES/112 CM measured at the top of the shoulders
Help prevent pool closures:• Avoid eating one hour prior to swimming to avoid upset stomach• Ensure that children are taken to the washroom prior to swimming and frequently take breaks during swimming• Non-toilet trained infants/toddlers and participants who experience incontinence must wear the appropriate leak-proof garments• Participants should not swim if they feel ill, have an upset stomach, diarrhea or have vomited in the past day• Change diapers in the change rooms (not pool side) and dispose of them properly• Wash your hands after using the toilet or changing diapers Pool closures are a result of the contamination of pool water by fecal matter and vomit or reduced water clarity. Water quality must be within the appropriate range set by the Public Health Act before swimmers can enter the pool
