About this event
Mushrooms can be mysterious, so let's demystify them! Learn the basics of how fungi grow both outdoors and in cultivation indoors. This class will also teach you how to identify commonly foraged fungi and their poisonous look-alikes. These skills are key to being prepared for the upcoming morel hunting season. A discussion on food preservation will help to ensure your freezer and cupboards are full of mushrooms even when they aren't in season. Students will also get hands-on experience with growing edible mushrooms.
