Registration closed.

About this event

---Instructor: Doug Sanders---This class will introduce students to the art and science of audiobooks! First, students will explore the basic physical setup and requirements for recording and producing audiobooks. Next, students will learn what it means to develop an authentic narrator voice and how to develop a repertoire of characters with ease. Then the class turns toward the technical aspects of editing and mastering audio files. All of this, in addition to homework given throughout the class, culminates in a project students can use to promote themselves as audiobook narrators and producers and to bid on audiobook projects. Students will know they have the artistic and technical competence to narrate and produce audiobook material – because they’ve done it! Finally, students will receive insightful tips on how to market themselves in the world of audiobooks.
