Emma-Kate Lidbury is a journalist, author, and former professional triathlete with six Ironman 70.3 titles and two top-10 world championship finishes to her name.
Originally from the UK, EK began her journalism career in the British newspaper industry where she was also talked into taking part in her first tri as part of an assignment. It worked out well—and she turned pro three years later. After a decade of pro racing, EK returned to the media world, working as managing editor at Triathlete.
She has been a freelance writer in the endurance sports space for two decades and is the co-author of Triathlon Swimming with swim coach Gerry Rodrigues. She still loves to swim, bike, run, and lift.
