Join us for the Newcastle Beach 10k, Half 13.1, 5k part of the Race Series on this First Day of Summer. Cool breezes will capture your journey over the Eastrail over looking gorgeous views of Lake Washington. For those taking on the half and 10k views of the Seahawks VMAC (Virginia Mason Athletic Center). All runners get a custom designed Eastrail T-Shirt, and hand towel. Finishers receive custom made gold medallion Newcastle Beach. Don't miss the excitement! Grab a running buddy for this scenic jaunt down the Eastrail trail. Top 3 male and top 3 female receive cash awards in the 8k and Top 5k and Half male and female receive a gift card to Starbucks. Wear your bib on your front torso for a photo finish and timing place. For those registering today for the race series you get a custom designed USAT/USATF designer Mug.
Event details and schedule
There is plenty of parking at the Newcastle Beach lot. Race starts promptly at 9 am on June 21, 2025 (first day of summer) at the Eastrail Trail head about 300 feet up the slope from the Newcastle Beach Parking lot. The course is open so you will be sharing with walkers and bicyclists. Most driveways have stop signs but always be aware of your surroundings. There will be a water and aid station stocked with Gu, Gatorade, water and first aid kit at 5k turnaround (1.5 miles), 10k Turn around (3.1 mile) and at 6.6 mile turn around for the Half 13.1. Please stay hydrated. Great course to set your PR (personal record). The course is USATF certified.
