In this 45-minute class, you will be guided through popular intermediate-level line dances focusing on essential footwork and choreography in a step-by-step fashion. Each week, new dances will be introduced along with a quick review of last week’s material. Prior basic knowledge of dance or prior line experience is not required but is recommended.
This class can be paired with the beginner-level class offered prior.
Fee per session is $40 (8 classes) or you may drop-in and pay cash at the door ($8 per class) if there are available spots.
Our instructor, Megan, has danced competitively from the age of 3. She started teaching all kinds of dance (tap, ballet, hip-hip- jazz) and power tumbling at the age of 15. She has taught for recreational programs in the QC (YMCA, KSDT, Backstage Dance and Tumbling, Stars Program at the RI Arsenal and the City of Tampa, FL Parks and Recreation department), as well as coached competitive dance teams, a Power Tumbling Team, Cheerleading, Pom Squad, helped with Musical Theater Choreography and wrote curriculums for these types of programs. She started line dancing about 10 years ago recreationally and moved into teaching in the QC because there were not many opportunities for instruction.
