Enjoy the beauty of Veterans Oasis Park as you learn to paint. Aspiring artists will create a colorful canvas while learning the basics of working with acrylic paints. This beginner class focuses on color mixing and simple brush techniques. Students must provide their own supplies. Contact the CNC for a supply list.

Students will bring their own supplies. Paints – Titanium white, cad yellow lt, Orange, Alizarin crimson, Hookers green, Cerulean blue, Dioxazine Purple, Burnt sienna and Burnt umber. Ivory Black (Optional). Brushes – White Bristle brushes sizes #10 (7/8”wide), #6 (1/2”wide) & #4 (3/8”wide) all filberts; #2 round bristle brush.Palette Knife. Soft Charcoal for drawing. Suggest a color wheel (optional). 9x12 canvas boards- bring at least 2. Palette- throw away paper palettes are a good start.
