Deeply Rooted Dance Theater Summer Dance Intensive (SDI) Work Study program is a non-paid four week opportunity for dancers (ages 18 and older) seeking to gain experience in arts administration while participating in the company’s pre-professional summer dance intensive program. During the four week program students are required to work daily with Deeply Rooted administrative staff as well as observe and participate in technique classes and rehearsal process. Work study students are required to support administrative staff during the SDI culminating performance. Work study students are required to: -Participate in 2 technique classes daily. -Observe/Participate in rehearsals for process. -Work daily in Deeply Rooted's administrative office. -Work front of house during the final performance. -Work study students are NOT allowed/required to perform in the Summer Intensive Final Performance. -Students interested in working to subsidize their tuition must submit a resume to be considered for a work study position, since they are offered based on administrative work experience. The work study program is not a paid position; however, we offer a tuition break in which students pay $1050 instead of $2150 for the summer.
