Description

This class will be an open studio style, for those who have previouslyattended Culver City’s ceramics classes with Jeffrey Greathouse.Students will receive guidance and coaching on their individual projects.Students will be provided with the opportunity to practice and refine thetechniques learned in prior classes to create and develop their ownsignature pieces. In addition, they will be encouraged to explore new anddifferent decorating and glazing techniques. Hand-Builders with someexperience working with slab, pinch pots, and coils are encouraged tofurther explore creating the unique shapes and designs that can bemade without the pottery wheel. Wheel-Throwers with basic skills increating bowls and cylinders will have the opportunity to requestadditional advice on throwing methods. Guidance and projects will begiven upon student request while those with more autonomy andexperience will have the opportunity to work on their own project in thisopen studio environment.
