Attracting cyclists from all over the country and the world, Twilight's criterium is the main event and has drawn thousands to downtown Athens, Ga., for 40 years. Held just off the campus of the University of Georgia, the race starts at College Avenue and snakes through downtown, passing in front of popular restaurants and other historic landmarks. Not up for the criterium? Twilight also features a kids race, 5K run, amateur rides and other fun activities for all ages.

Cyclists will have the chance to peddle through downtown Indianapolis for a 20-mile tour, passing downtown sites, such as the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Butler University, IUPUI and Monument Circle. Bike rentals and repairs will be offered, as well as a "L.I.T.E. Up Your Bike" contest for cyclists looking really get creative with their bikes. Change up your regular Saturday night, and take a ride in the moonlight.

July 27-28, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah 3 of 6This aptly named ride takes cyclists from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas in teams of five or 10. Unless you're a team full of Chris Froomes, you'll likely want to strap on your bike lights, as you'll likely be riding late into the night.
While this 420-mile relay will require the leg power of every team member, entering Sin City on two wheels is a nice prize after crossing that race tape.

You'll find out on this 10-mile singletrack loop.
Beginning at noon and ending at the same time the following day, you--or a team of up to eight people--will try to complete as many laps in a 24-hour period as possible. You can call it a mountain bike velodrome.
Riders can also choose to compete in the six- or 12-hour race, but we're guessing you're here to ride through the night.
