*READ IN FULL BEFORE COMMITTING* The Work Exchange Program at Touchstone allows for ONE workshop participant during EACH grouping of 5-day, 3-day, and 2-day sessions throughout the season to work within the dining hall in exchange for lodging. Lodging is provided based on availability and at Touchstone's discretion. Scholarship recipients are given preference for the program; however, any workshop participant interested may be considered for the session in which they are attending a workshop. Work exchange participants are expected to work in the dining hall kitchen throughout their workshop session, beginning at dinner service the evening prior to their workshop and ending after lunch service on the last day of their workshop. Assigned duties include light cleanup, primarily washing dishes using a commercial sprayer and dish machine. The anticipated time commitment is 60-90 minutes following EACH meal service (time spent may fluctuate depending on volume of dishes/serveware). Please note that work exchange participants may miss up to a half hour of class after breakfast and/or lunch services daily to complete these duties. Instructors will be notified of work exchange participants to be excused from class. Select the work exchange session that corresponds with your workshop. If the work exchange session that corresponds with your workshop session has already been filled with another participant, you may select the waitlist option. Please list your preferred session dates in the notes section when completing the registration form. A staff member will reach out to you should a vacancy occur.
