Summer Swim Program: A Tradition of Fun, Community, and Excellence
Our summer swim program is more than just a team—it’s a community. Based at Ridgewood Swim & Tennis Club, a premier facility in Greensboro, NC, which offers a blend of swimming, tennis, fitness, and social activities for club members. Conveniently located off Highway 150 and Lake Brandt Road, Ridgewood provides a welcoming atmosphere, well-maintained pools, and countless opportunities to connect.
A Strong Sense of Community
From the moment the season begins, our swim team thrives on camaraderie and support. Families come together not just on the pool deck but at team gatherings, spirit nights, and post-meet celebrations. Whether it’s a pancake breakfast after practice or an ice cream social before a big meet, we create opportunities to bond beyond the water.

Our team is known for its loud and proud cheers, rallying together before every race. Whether it’s celebrating a personal best or pushing through a tough relay, our swimmers bring enthusiasm and pride to every meet.
Dedicated and Experienced Coaching Staff
Our coaching staff is at the heart of our program. Head Coach Karen Vary brings a passion for teaching and teamwork, while our assistant coaches—former and current team members—have grown up in the program and are dedicated to mentoring the next generation of swimmers. Whether your child is learning strokes for the first time or fine-tuning race strategies, our coaches provide the individual attention they need to succeed.
Competitive Fun and Lasting Memories
We balance competition with fun, making every meet and practice an opportunity for growth. Swimmers enjoy theme nights, relay races, breakfast days, and team events, keeping the season exciting. The summer culminates in the City Meet at the Greensboro Aquatic Center (GAC), where our team comes together one last time to finish the season strong.
