Contemporary figurative painting will cover both how to accurately capture the body, movements , the face and every small detail of the human body accurately. Taking this practice and knowledge of the human body we will alow ourselves to introduce expressionist tendencies to add the element of modern feeling into it all. We will look at a multitude of artists, focusing on painters from the die brücke movement as well as contemporary painters who inspire us.
