Learn the basics of watercolor painting and develop skills you can use to create your own masterpiece! This 2-week class will look at some of the most popular techniques in watercolor painting from abstract to florals. Students are encouraged to ask your questions and try something new! Through guided hands-on activities each student will gain the practice and confidence to explore the medium and develop a unique visual style.
Week 1 Intro - Learn the basics of watercolor painting and color mixing. We will explore the color wheel, watercolor pigments, brush techniques, and more in this introduction.
Week 2 Still Life - Using the techniques explored in week 1 students will have an opportunity to create a still life watercolor painting set up by the instructor. This activity is self-paced and individual style is encouraged!
