Become an Art Director, Costume maker, and Special Effects pro with CinemaKidz! Utilizing sewing machines, fabrics, tools of the trade, and small mannequins kids learn what it takes to become a costume designer for the big screen; drafting and designing a costume on paper, building it on a small scale mannequin, and finally a large scale costume made for kids! Next, participants learn how to create various practical special effects looks: transform into a deep sea creature, an apocalyptic zombie, a Shrek character, and more! The class will culminate in combining the skills learned to create their main character! Projects and looks will be documented each class with a fun short gif, video, or photo.
