Sept. 18-19 · Basic Carpentry Skills 102: Cat Shelves

Hammerstone Ithaca • 720 West Green Street IthacaNY  14850 Organized by Hammerstone: Carpentry for Women, LLC

About this event

Overview: You’ve taken our Basic Carpentry Skills 101 course but you haven’t had the chance to practice those skills you learned. Join us for the 102 course where we will refresh your memory on the tools and techniques and then give you ample time to practice, practice, practice! We will use the same tools as 101 and build a new project, Cat Shelves! Share your love of carpentry with your furry friends! Project Description: Students will build a set of cat shelves that can be hung on the wall in their home. The shelves will be constructed from a combination of 1x material and plywood and serve as a good review of cross-cutting, ripping, cutting angles, and using plywood. Our Basic Carpentry Skills 101 course is a prerequisite for this class.  Students under 18 may attend with parental permission.
