Description
Mental Health First Aid teaches individuals how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge in adults 18 and over.What This Course Covers
Common signs and symptoms of mental illnessCommon signs and symptoms of substance useHow to interact with a person in crisisHow to connect the person with helpNEW: Expanded content on trauma, addiction and self-careAfter completing the course requirements, participants can receive a nationally recognized, 3-Year Mental Health First Aid Certification from the National Council of Behavioral Health.
There is a 2 hour self-paced online pre-work that must be completed before attending the in person training. The instructor will contact the students with the online access information 1-2 weeks before the live class.
