Adult Strings Retreat on Madeline IslandAugust 3 – 7, 2025Escape to the serene beauty of Madeline Island for a rejuvenating retreat designed specifically for recreational adult string players. Whether you play violin, viola, cello, or bass, this retreat offers the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in music, nature, and camaraderie.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Superior, the retreat combines enriching musical experiences with the tranquility of island life. Each day features a mix of engaging chamber ensemble rehearsals, string orchestra practice, faculty presentations, and evening activities.
Beyond the music, enjoy the island's natural beauty with optional activities such as hiking, kayaking, or simply relaxing by the water. Cozy accommodations add to the retreat’s charm, fostering a welcoming and inspiring environment.
