Designed for adults wanting to learn to sail with a curriculum that aligns with the beginner course. Adults are taught in the 14 foot long sailing school boats with two to three adults per boat depending on skill level. The boats are very responsive and you will learn quickly!!! The goal is for adults to become proficient in 1.) Rigging, knot tying and boat maintenance, 2.) Recovery from capsizing, 3.) Skippering (driving) and crewing through the basic points of sailing including, 4.) Tacking/sailing against the wind (upwind), 5.) Reaching/sailing 90 degrees to the wind 5.) Jibing/sailing with the wind (downwind). Once you are comfortable with the basics we have some fun and do a little racing as well!
