Welcome and thanks for being a partner to our Community Gardens! The City of New London has partnered with two local churches: Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 709 W Beckert Rd and New London United Methodist Church, 709 W Pine St offering the community spaces for growing a garden.

We're truly excited that you've decided to take on this adventure, but we want to make sure everyone is aware of the expectations that come with renting a garden plot. These organizations are graciously inviting the community onto their private property for gardening purposes, and we want to make sure we are all good partners in this wonderful adventure so it's a win-win for everyone!

Everyone must understand that this is a community garden and in order for it to succeed, all gardeners must maintain their own plot, manage compost, keep on top of weeds, harvest promptly and help keep the site clean.

If a plot is not maintained the gardener will be contacted and given a 2 week notice to clean it up. If not cleaned up during that time, the plot will be considered abandoned and the plot will be cleared of all plants. The gardener will not be eligible to obtain a plot the next year.

**To ease any confusion with which plot(s) have been rented/reserved you will pick up a blue PVC pipe that will be placed in each garden box you've occupied. You will have to stop by the office to pick it (them) up. Please keep these pipes in place so new renters can distinguish which plots are available. Thank you**

The New London Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to move gardeners to different plots based on the need or other circumstance.
