Description

Explore the diversity of the unique geology of Rockwood Park. Participants will embark on an hour-long hike with an environmental educator and learn how to identify common rocks and minerals. Close-toed shoes required. Dress appropriately for the weather.

Program Information: -Program is held outdoors. -All materials will be provided. -Distance traveled will be between 1 and 1.5 miles. -Outdoor surfaces traveled on in this program include: paved trails, dirt trails with roots and uneven surfaces, and a creek bed with sand, mud, and rocks. -This program includes visual and tactile elements.
