Maple Roasted Squash Bowl
1 acorn squash
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. maple syrup
1 tbsp. brown sugar
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees, cut your acorn squash in half, and scrape the seeds out. Cut lines in the meat of the squash in a crisscross fashion—this will allow the flavors to seep into the squash.
Melt your butter, and mix it with the maple syrup. Paint this onto the squash and pour your leftover liquid into the center. Cook this for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the liquid is gone. Top both halves with brown sugar and put the oven on broil. When the brown sugar has caramelized it's ready to serve.
