Grade 7: Expository Writing Expository writing is vital, both in school and in many professions. The ability to write clearly and logically is a valuable skill that only gets better with practice. In order to demonstrate the organizational and structural elements of cohesive writing, this class will focus on the construction of the perfect paragraph. From the preparation of initial ideas to the identification of topic sentences--drafting and revising supporting points and transitory elements--and understanding the importance of a conclusion, the skills learned to create a perfect paragraph will translate seamlessly to creating a perfect essay.
