Tree Frog Treks is back for another summer of Full-Day Green Teen Machine Adventures! We’re gearing up for fun-filled, memorable experiences—and we can’t wait to get started! What began with the goal of keeping our "aged out" campers involved is now offered for our 5th year, providing new and exciting opportunities for all. Each session, campers meet at Golden Gate Park and head out in our TFT Green Machine to explore Bay Area’s coastal ecosystems, including rocky shore tide pools, sheltered and exposed beaches, bays, and estuaries. TFT Teens will dive into local natural history, wildlife, oceanography (like tides and currents), and basic water safety. We’ll hike, swim (with Lifeguard and Naturalist supervision), dig in the sand, and make new friends. Our goal is to foster leadership and critical thinking skills through hands-on learning while adventuring in nature with peers and Naturalists. Our Far Reaching, Outrageous & Green Teen campers may venture and help lead community outreach programs, including SF Public Library Summer Stride branch visits, TFT camp animal time, and “Animals Outside” events in local parks. This way, we share what we know so the world can grow! Throughout each session, campers get VIP access to Frog Hall, where they can relax with Chiquita the Burmese Python, Trucker the Tortoise, and Artemis the Blue-tongued Skink. We Wander and Wonder Together!
