Poetry is all around us—in the rustling of leaves, the crash of ocean waves, and the voices that demand to be heard. In this class, we’ll dive into the beauty of nature poetry, exploring how writers capture the wildness of the world around them. At the same time, we’ll read bold and powerful feminist poets who use words to challenge, inspire, and celebrate strength. Through reading, discussion, and creative writing, you’ll get to experiment with different styles, from haiku to free verse, and write your own poems about the natural world and what matters most to you.
