AVIATION CLUB Activity Organizer: Anup Sharma Email: flywithanup@gmail.com Dates: Fridays Time: 4:00 PM–5:30 PM Grades: 8–12 Description: Have you ever wanted to fly? Have you ever wondered what it’s like to pilot your own airplane? Join Aviation Club and find out! We introduce students to the exciting world of flying an airplane with background knowledge reinforced by flying in a simulator. Students will learn basic aerodynamics, airplane systems, flight planning, navigation, weather, radio communication, valuable pilot skills, and more, all taught by a certified 1800-hour commercial pilot! Students are encouraged to bring a laptop computer with at least a dual core, 2.5 GHz or faster; 4 GB of RAM; and a video card with at least 1 GB of VRAM. * Students seeking certification must pass the FAA tests and receive instruction from a certified flight instructor.
