German pros had a strong showing in front of their hometown crowd, with Nils Frommhold and Timo Bracht finishing one-two in the men's race. Dutch triathlete Yvonne van Vlerken finished first in the women's field after passing Australia's Carrie Lester and Germany's Anja Beranek on the run.
